My Scroll Socks
Well I finally collected enough time to get a pair of socks done this month. YEAH! Moving really cuts out a huge chunk of your free (knitting)time!
I won the yarn for these socks in another KAL. It is a beautiful hand dyed bamboo/silk blend sock weight yarn. Absolutely divine to knit with! I am not a fan of lavender or yellow, but I have a person on "The Christmas List" that will be crazy about these. The pattern was great and very easy--I love really easy lace socks that look difficult to make.
Scrolls Complete
It's been a very long time since I finished a pair of club socks. Other knitting had to get done first. Here are my completed scroll socks. Yarn used is Patons Stretch Socks in the mineral colourway. I have to say that I am surprised at how much I like this yarn. I used 2mm needles and worked them from the toe up.
Thanks Anni yet again for a wonderful pattern and it feels great to be back.

SSSSTSE
Super Scroll Socks Sent To Someone Else.
Yes I fished them!! I think I sent them monday to someone who thinks that knitters are ok but that the world can't do without sock knitters.

I thought that was a really nice thing to say.
I knitted them with Regia Color 4 fädig and I love the color.
The pattern is the other thing I really loved, can't wait for the next one.
Thanx Anni

October is almost over
All your socks look wonderful. The farthest I have gotten with mine is I wound the club yarn into a ball. Crazy month, but I have my yarn and pattern and will knit my socks when things slow down. I hear the club yarn for November should be heading out soon and if my November isn't as crazy as October then I believe I will have Novembers done. Great Job ladies and Thank you so much Anni

Alpaca Scrolls
I finished these up 2 days ago but just got a picture of them today. They were knit in Alpaca Sox (60% alpaca, 20% merino wool, 20% nylon) colorway 1875 Pebbles. I used KP Options in size 1. Did them ML, toe up with sewn cast off. There is 3 or 4 repeats of the pattern on the leg with no ribbing. I wish I had done a bit of ribbing as they tend to want to roll. Oh, well, they are so soft that I don't really mind.
This was an easy to remember pattern and a fast knit, if I had knit on them on a regular basis. I have lost my knit all the time mojo. Hope it comes back soon.
Thanks, Anni for another great pattern.

Scrolls Socks for Fall
I waited for the perfect pattern for this yarn, and the Scrolls Socks were definitely worth the wait. Love the pattern - and they will be so wonderful to wear if it ever gets even the slightest bit chilly.
Can't wait for next months pattern. Thanks Anni!
Toe up, ML, size 1 needles.

I can't believe I won!! (follow up)
Let me try this again. I had it all typed up and when I tried to post it just went weeeewww and was gone. Guess I shouldn't be surprised as my cell phone also just broke (see my blog) so technology is against me today.
My yarn from August win came Monday. My daughter forgot to tell me that it had finally gotten there. Since I am away from home and will be for the next week I told her to go ahead and open the package. She fell in love with it and said she wanted socks out of it. I told her it was for me, but I don't think I have won yet. We will see.
Thanks, Anni. I can't wait to get home for lots of reasons and now to see my yarn. I love getting new yarn and if it is free that is even better.

October Socks - Scrolls
For the October socks I wanted a pretty lacy pattern. I tried a few options then tried this lovely lace pattern and once I'd knitted a few repests I realised it was almost identical to the lace pattern I used on my Scrolls Cowl, so I thought I'd keep the same name.
The lace pattern is very easy to work and memorise and knits up very quickly as it winds it's way around the calf and foot. I love it and I hope you do too. I'm working on a pair of handwarmers too and I will put up the pattern for that too once it's done but don't hold your breath. Got another urgent project I need to get done first but I do want ot finish the handwarmes so that I can wear them to London next week so will try to get the pattern done by then.
Struggled to get pictures to show up the lace pattern properly but hope you can see it.
WEll done to everyone who's finished teh Twisted Cables socks. I'll do the draw this evening or on Friday (got 2 meetings tonight and teaching a lace workshop tomorrow, so will probably be Friday).
Happy knitting,
Anni

Twisted Cables
Finished them Sunday.
Yarn "Bird of Paradise" Purrrfect Sock Yarn, hand-dyed by Ruth at Cinders Knits.
DH had taken one look at the skein & said he liked it, I thought the pattern suitable. So that's another part of his Christmas present sorted - it probably won't be cold enough for him to want to wear them til then anyhow!
Just wondering about what to call them - Twisted Cables pattern, Bird of Paradise yarn: Twisted Birds? Cables of Paradise? Flying to Heaven?
