Little Girl's Rollercoaster

I made a pair of Rollercoasters for my 4yo daughter. She picked out the yarn! We used Trekking XXL (pink stripe) on a US 1 1/2 magic loop. I CO 60 sts and modified the stitch pattern as follows:

row1--(p1, k5, p3, k5, p1) repeat 4 times
row2--(p1, m1, k3, k2tog, p3, ssk, k3, m1, p1) repeat 4 times

She loves them! And I loved this pattern. Thank you, Anni!

Hey I can sit up longer now and the girls have helped me download the photos. Thank you for your kind words. I so love knitting these socks. Hard to believe April is on Wednesday. Wow the time flies

Here's mine......

This is my pair, first I've done after just joining. Lovely pattern will knit some more, and these are for me LOL.

Looking forward to April's pattern!

Rollercoaster socks

I love these Rollercoaster socks and my congrats to all of you who finished them in time. So many lovely pictures and socks. For me is it a little bit to late to start them now and finish them in time.
Im done but I had a bad miscarriage and was taken to the ER Thursday and Friday due to excessive bleeding. I have had my girls take a picture and hopefully I can download the picture and post tomorrow. I am on bed rest till Thursday. Your socks all look wonderful

Rollercoaster - modified

Patons Kroy Stretch US2 - modified toe up. Once I started knitting the pattern, I realized that the varigated yarn was hiding the pattern, so I ripped back and knitted the foot plain. I added a cuff because when I didn't like how the edge wanted to curl. As much as I like to look at varigated yarn, it just doesn't work for me - - - I must resist purchasing anymore varigated yarn.
Thank you for another great pattern.

Rollercoaster complete

I am happy to have these completed within the month. I loved that this pattern was easy to remember and also loved what it did to break up the stripe. My feet do not handle a pattern well on the top of the foot so I did switch to stockinette stitch. Hope that is okay. Thanks so much for a great pattern. I look forward to next month... Kim

Hello,

Yesterday evening I finished my pair of Rollercoasters. I used "Ewas Sockenwolle" in the colourway Baltic Sea. The pattern was quick and fun to knit. Thanks a lot, Anni!

Rollercoaster for Spring

Beautiful socks; and a great pattern for my finally dwindling supply of self striping yarn. It's fun that the cuffs make flowers.
Thanks for another wonderful pattern, Anni.

I got gauge!

I got gauge!!! Probably for the first time ever when knitting socks...Funny thing is that the socks always fit me, even if I haven't got gauge (or especially since I don't get gauge..) Soooo-these are on the smaller side-LOL! I blame it on the yarn though, the gauge thing. I've tried a new one:
Frost from Gjestal. Soft and nice to knit with, but a lot thinner than my usual Silja/Senja.
As usual knitted top down, two-at-a-time, magic loop, on 2.5mm circulars. Nice, quick, easy pattern, and a yarn that actually works with the pattern. Legs are knitted 20 cm long, they are for me;-) ...even if they are a bit small due to gauge...:-D

New pattern and February winners

I've just uploaded the new pattern for March to the Google group. It's called 'Rollercoaster' and has columns of purl stitches and chevron pattern. It's only a 2 row pattern repeat and it's very quick and easy. If you want to knit it toe up intstead it's very easy to reverse the pattern.
I got my daughters to draw the winners before they went to school this morning. I give them the list of numbers and they give me a number each. And the winners are.....

Not Just A Mom and Barb W.

Congratulations ladies. E-mail me on yarnaddictAThotmailDOTcoDOTuk to let me know which yarn you'd like. You can choose any skein from my shop.

Well done to everyone for completing February's socks. and good luck to everyone with the March socks.

Happy knitting,
Anni
