What we do for Love
As you can see, I didn't finish.....yet. I did a ribbed cuff with 4 repeats of the beautiful Celtic Cable (maybe I should have done shorter socks :) Must finish these before starting the pretty little August Sock. Life once again trumped knitting. DH and has all these wonderful projects underway which does improve the house but I would rather be knitting or at my LYS rather than at the home improvment store and tightening screws. What we do for Love!

simply cables... at last !
At last, i decide to take a minute and post a pic from my simply cables socks. I finished them just about a week after the deadline, but then we bought a new computer and it took a while for my husband to reconfigurate everything, so i was not able to post my socks sooner. I made these socks for my daughter who lives and studies in Belgium. I thought i would knit a shorter leg so she could wear them during the summer. I just love them, they are so comfy and the pattern was really fun to knit. I am actually knitting another pair for myself. There won't be blue bells socks for me to show. I tried to knit the pattern and i gave up. I am pretty new at fair isle and the leg was way too tight and it was all bumpy...Very unattractive. So i put the pattern in a file for future use. the new pattern is
absolutely lovely and i really have to go shopping and try to find a special yarn color for this one. Congrats to the blue bell winners!

new member
Hi, my name is Monique, i am from Quebec Canada and wanted to say i am happy to be a new member of the sockamania club. I recently renewed with the joys of knitting and i am quickly becoming an addict. My husband is starting to complain saying i spend too much time knitting. I want to do this all day ! I am not an expert knitter like most of you members here and i hope to be able to create beautiful socks as all those i have seen on this blog. I just can't wait to receive my first pattern !
Happy knitting to all of you !
