Thanks, Anni, the September KAL socks are just right for the yarn my husband likes. So that's his Christmas present (or part thereof) sorted.

Me? I want a ball winder for Christmas. Wouldn't mind it for my birthday, which is sooner, but we need a new cooker, so I'll be having that then. That way we get it!

Off to wind the yarn, by hand. Hmmm, hang the skein on the clothes horse, I think.

Cooker is not very exciting for your birthday but I understand it's a necessity. We all end up having 'sensible' presents form time to time. Hopefully you'll get a ball winer for Christmas. Ball winder and swift is a necessity I think. I was so relieved teh day I got mine.
