Christmas Snowflakes


This is my first attempt at colour work on socks. I haven't quite got the hang of the technique, so the tension is not quite as even as I would like it to be.

They are for my son for Christmas, so they are in 'boy' colours, grey snowflakes on a navy background.

After finishing the pattern, I decreased to 60 stitches so that they would fit snugly round the ankle and foot. I did a reinforced heel as my son has very bony heels!

I think your knitting looks great - Can't tell from the picture that the tension isn't even!! Looks very nice. Hope your son enjoys them :)

I agree; your socks look fab! Picking up stitches in such a dark yarn is no mean feat!
