This is my first month as a Sockamania club member and my very first fair isle project. I was a bit intimidated by stranded knitting, but I relaxed and decided to go for it. Here is the beginning of the fair isle pattern emerging. I'm feeling more confident that this may actually work!
I'm using Knit Pick's Essential Tweed in Marina (discontinued) and Knit Pick's Essential in Grass. I love the feel of the yarn, it's very soft. Oh, I'm knitting these 2 at a time on one size 2 40" circular.

Love them so far! I'm using knitpicks Marina too, but with their Riverbend variegated. I like yours better!
