progress on my april socks

I wanted to show some progress on my april socks. I'm enjoying the pattern, I love stranded knitting, so this is the perfect sockpattern for me. I hope I'll have enough yarn, 50 gram of both colors. I know the pattern asks for more, but I've made the leg shorter. Hopefully that'll be enough. This is how my sock looks at the moment:

My skeins were 50 grams each and I had to purchase more to finish the second sock. If you don't think you'll have enough yarn, try knitting your toes in a solid color.
By the way, your socks are lovely.

WOW! I just love how this is looking, I wouldn't have thought to use a striping yarn for this pattern. Great job! :)

hmm, maybe I'll have to frog them and do them toe-up. That way I'll know for sure I'll have enough yarn. (but I don't like frogging :()

Kate is right, those are happy socks indeed. Love what you are doing with the pattern. And what yarn are you using? Or maybe I shouldn't ask, that stupid yarn diet thing... ;)

I love the black on the multi-colors.
I had a pattern for a sweater with black snowflakes on a multi-red background many years ago, but it got lost in one of my moves - so sad!

The yarn I'm using is cascade fixations. I still haven't decided on the frogging.

Well, the decision is made: they WILL be frogged. I don't have enough yarn. To bad! I will reknit them once as anklets I think, because I really like the pattern. But for now, I'm a bit sick of the socks (I hate frogging) so I won't finish them this month.
