Just been informed of a typo in the written instrucitons for the socks. The total stitch count is 64 st, 32 st for the top of the foot and 32 st for the sole of the foot. I'm e-mailing out corrected pattern and chart but as I can only do half hte mailing list in one day some of you will get it tomorrow.
Thank you to those of you who can do maths better than me.
I'm going back into hiding now I think. Next time I'll get someone who can add up and read charts to proof read my pattern.
Sorry guys.

Thanks for the heads up, and no worries! All the wrinkles will get ironed out.
No problem, I just ignored the original count and followed the chart anyway :o)
it's ok, we're only human! & if it makes you feel any better, I didn't notice the 'mistake' until the corected one had come out.
I noticed it right off, but didn't think to say anything. I thought it might have to do with the Turkish cast-on (which I didn't read)and maybe you knit two together at each side between with top and sole after you finished the toe to get you down to the right # of stitches. Since I do the Judy Becker magic Loop Cast-on, I just looked at the chart to see how many stitches I needed to end up with and went from there.
Well! I am so glad someone else fesses up to being math dysfunctional. It's nice to know I'm not the only one on the planet.
No worries, Anni.
Cheers! Nan

NYCResident1, try mailing
sockamania@hotmail.co.uk again.. explain you had tried before.
Not a problem! I figured that's what you meant anyway. I just use patterns as a loose reference. Thanks for going to the trouble to e-mail out correction though.
