Spiralling Socks

I'm making this pretty pattern with my own hand dyed sock yarn, an experiment with Kool Aid from last Summer. It started off blue and yellowy cream but I wasn't impressed by my feeble attempts and plunged the whole lot in strawberry, resulting in the above. I'm really happy with the way it's working for Anni's spirals, subtle yet definitely shaded.
Just to be different I thought I'd have a go at the Magic Loop method too, something I've always wanted to try and I have to say, I think I'm a convert. I've turned the heel, negotiated the gusset and still managed to keep my head above water! Watch out toe, here I come.....

I absolutely love the color you came up with. The first colors show through just enough to give the yarn its own personality - simply stunning!

Thanks....Kool Aid makes it smell good too, even after a year!

Magic Loop is great, isn't it? Since I first tried it a few months ago, I've done all my socks that way. :-)

I love your colours. I have some socks in Kool Aid yarn, and they still smelled fruity after more than 1 trip through the washing machine, even! Yum. ;-)
