The yarn is Bernat Sox. Yep, cheap stuff, but it's actually really comfy. I can't seem to find any more of it, though. :(
I'm quite sure it was discontinued. I have gobs of it that I got really cheap. For an acrylic, it's surprisingly comfy to wear - i made a pair of socks out of another acrylic and it actually hurt the bottoms of my feet, but the Sox yarn is actually good stuff.
Anyway, your socks look super.
