Alathea is right, I've made a mistake in the chart on the larger size. I did notice this actually when I was knitting the small test of hte larger sock and I'm so cross with myself for forgetting to alter it.
The mistake is in the first two columns on the chart (ie the first two stitches) which should be swapped around - correct pattern should read 'p1, m1(or m1 purlwise depending on which row your on). I've corrected the chart and if anyone wants a new copy please e-mail me.
I'm so so sorry about this.
THIS IS ONLY APPLICABLE TO THE LARGER SIZE THOUGH.

I am confused about the "error" in the pattern (large size). I just completed the first set of 24 rows and the pattern, as written, looks fine.
eeek, I've started mine, and am too lazy to frog it, as I've nearly finished the cuff of the leg. It looks fine, so will be leaving it as is. And I'll have to match up the second sock, of course ;)
That makes sense as it was a bit hard to M or MP on the needle joins. I've almost finished the first set of repeats. I'll start with the corrected directions from now. I'm sure it won't be noticeable.
Thanks for the correction. I thought it was a bit odd yesterday and switched around the stitches on the next repeat. Now the rib edge is neat on both sides. However, as others have mentioned, it's not too noticeable so the "wrong" way works too. : )
please email me the corrected chart, thanks! craftycat 2 8 AT hotmail DOT com
