Do-Ovah

I cast on for the first sock on May 1. I did one row of ribbing, then started slipping stitches to other needles for my first attempt at a)making a sock and b) DPN's.

I didn't have enough stitches. Let's hope my knitting skills are better then my math skills!

Then I had the right number of stitches, joined in the round on three needles. I started knitting and ended up with two needles. A quick trip to YouTube set me straight.

Now, I've finished the ribbing on one sock and I'm going to have to write the chart out on some paper since I still can't get my printer to work! (sigh)

You are going to be ok. Hang onto this post in a word document somewhere. Take lots of pictures as you go, including the mistakes.

In three months you are going to look back and laugh like mad at what you went through to start this off.

And at that point, you will also have three baskets of sock yarn.

Perservere - it will all come together!

I always find that things get easier once I've done a few rounds of ribbing.

If it helps, remember that you're still only using 2 needles to knit with - the others are holding spare stitches.
