Pink Ripples for November

I am not fond of pink. However, I really like this "Tofutsies" color! These will be a Christmas present for my daughter--who LOVES pink. I made one alteration and that was to work a reinforced heal. Thanks Anni for a great pattern! This is my new "most favorite sock pattern" and I will definately be making a pair for me!

Very pretty, at this time of year very "sugar plumb fairy" socks.

Very pretty socks. The yarn makes them look so delicate. I am curious why you chose to reinforce the heel.

barb w.--I chose the reinforced heel because I know my daughter will be wearing them with a pair of "closed heel" shoes. The lace patterning on the heel would: 1. be too delicate and wear out too fast 2. make it difficult to repair when she does wear them out 3. be uncomfortable in the pair of shoes she will wear them with.

Tofutsies is such a good sturdy yarn that I would have never thought of having to reinforce the heel. Your reasons make excellant sense and I forgot about the lace patterning on the heel.
